Who we are

A safe place for sisterhood and to fight for your marriage

Wives in Gap Ministries is dedicated to building stronger, healthier marriages. We are a nonprofit headquartered in the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex, led by passionate and caring Christian women whose collective wish is to see emotional and spiritual healing come to marriages, and to single women who are believing God for direction toward marriage.

We are here to lend an ear, a heart, and a hand. Wives in Gap is where wives stand in the gap for their fellow women: to pray, learn, and encourage one another to build healthy marriages, which in turn build healthy communities where God’s purpose for marriage is fulfilled.

The vision for Wives in Gap came by the Holy Spirit in January 2020 to Violet Nk Nwokoye, together with Spirit-filled prayer partners called WIG Ambassadors, after about two years of praying and waiting on the vision from God.

Our mission

Stand with hurting marriages

To stand in the gap with hurting marriages, encourage healthy marriages, teach the Word of God on raising God-fearing children, and, one family at a time, build communities of a God-fearing nation.

Why we exist

Reflect Christ in marriage

We bring wives together to encourage one another, lend an ear, hold each other up in prayer, and be strength for those who are weak, as we lift our husbands, children, friends, and communities in prayer.

Our core belief

Not us, but God in us

All advice, prayer, and counsel must come from God and not from us. We are vessels for His love and compassion to His children. We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.

Our purpose · Titus 2:3–5

“Teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live… to teach what is good. Then they can urge the younger women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind… so that no one will malign the word of God.”
TITUS 2:3–5

What we offer

Help for marriages, women, and families

Every session is confidential, biblically focused, and free.

Marriage healing sessions

When problems arise in a marriage, communication can be hard to start and frustration builds. You need a listening ear who will protect your privacy. We approach counseling with the aim of reconciling the hearts of husband and wife to one another by reconciling their hearts again to the Lord.

“Two are better than one… If either of them falls down, one can help the other up.” Ecclesiastes 4:9–10
Free

Personal counseling

We counsel not only married couples but all women. We want to see the restoration of the identity our Father intended when He created our beautiful sisters, because you are fearfully and wonderfully made.

Prayer and intercession

We believe our Father answers prayer and that no prayer goes unheard. We will stand in the gap in prayer for your healing, restoration, or any other need, and we pray with urgency and conviction with you and on your behalf.

Philippians 4:6 · 1 John 5:15

Invisible Third Counselors (ITC)

We regularly recruit and train Spirit-filled marriage counselors and intercessors called Invisible Third Counselors. Each couple or wife is matched with a counselor who fits their need, and every session is confidential, comfortable, and centered on the Word.

Founder & VisionaryViolet Nk Nwokoye

Meet our Founder & Visionary

Violet Nk Nwokoye

Violet Nk Nwokoye is a devoted woman of faith, a cherished wife, a loving mother of four, a licensed attorney, and a Licensed Professional Counselor. She and her husband, Ben, have been married for more than 29 years and have built a loving, Christ-centered home for their children in Arlington, Texas.

The vision for Wives in Gap Ministries was born on a quiet January morning in 2020. In the middle of a personal struggle, Violet poured out her heart to God, longing for someone she could talk to openly: someone who would simply listen, without judgment or hidden motives. In that moment, God planted the vision for Wives in Gap in her spirit.

“I remember feeling so much in need of an ear to vent to and speak with, without fear that I would be judged, talked about, or embarrassed. WIG stands as a vessel to fill some of that gap.”VIOLET NK NWOKOYE

Violet believes that marriage is more than a commitment. It is a divine covenant. Today, she leads Wives in Gap as a safe place for women who are hurting in their marriages, facing crisis, or seeking emotional healing. Through compassionate counseling, practical and godly guidance, and intercessory prayer, the ministry walks alongside each woman with grace, free of judgment, and with the utmost confidentiality.

Violet’s work is anchored in Jeremiah 29:11: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
